New Recipe Find!

Breakfast held me over well enough that I didn’t need a snack today!  yay :)

For lunch, I had a leftover Pita Pizza that I made last night and just reheated for lunch.  It was just as good as last night!  I also had 2 leftover peaches from the can I opened yesterday.

Also….I forgot to put more info up from the things I made at our friend get together last Friday.  One of the things I made, was Jogurt….JOGURT???  Yes, Jogurt :)  I actually got the original recipe from Roni.  She calls it Yelatin, but I like Jogurt better :)

Basically all you do is start making SF Jello the normal way (boil 1 cup water, stir in Jello mix until disolved) but then instead of adding 1 cup of Cold Water, you add 1 cup yogurt!!!  You can do it with either Plain or Vanilla Yogurt - I’ve done both and they’re both good!  It makes the Jello SOOO creamy and delicious.  I’ve made it 3 times for company now and it’s a huge hit!  Oh, and top it with FF Cool Whip, of course :)

Last night I whipped up a batch to have for snacks today - so I just took it and put it into 2 bowls and refrigerated overnight.  It really couldn’t be easier!

  • JOGURT! Ohh I love this :) This is adorable and sounds DIVINE!!! Thanks for posting this Melis! (PS) I don’t know if I’ve commented before, but I’m an avid reader of this adorable blog of yours and just wanted to tell you, you do SUCH a great job! Keep it up! Hope you have a wonderful evening!

Also, for the JOGURT ( :) cutest name ever! I smile every time I say it lol) what kind of yogurt do you use? Fage? Dannon Lite n Fit? I know you said plain, but have you tried any others? I’m anxious to know! YUM!

  • Julz - AW!! Thanks :) For all the compliments! :)
As far as the Jogurt, I usually used Dannon Fat Free plain, but this time I used Dannon Low Fat Vanilla because I had it on hand…..both were amazing! And even Chad absolutely LOVES it!! I wish I could use Fage….for anything! Unfortunately they don’t sell it anywhere around me :( What a bummer!!!

  • HEEEY WAIT A MINUTE! Yelatin in WAY better the Jogurt!

    LMAO

The husband calls it “jell-ogurt” another fun name.

    So glad you liked it!

  • Roni - OOH, jell-ogurt…that’s good too!!! :) I told everyone about it (and you) in my WW meeting yesterday. They thought it was a great idea!
