So……I have a LOT to catch you up on!!
WEEKEND
This past weekend we had Chad’s Christmas party for work and it was a BLAST!!! Here’s kind of an icky pic but you get the point.

Surprisingly it started clearing out around 9pm or so and since we weren’t ready to go home, we went out for a little bit. It was extra fun because it was with people that we don’t see much or ever go out with, but were such a blast!!

…and a little later in the evening…

…and…

I’m SO excited because we’re having these guys over this weekend to hang out, watch college football, and go out for SUSHI!!! Can you say “woohoo”???

P.S. I’m wearing Chad’s tie, not some cool, crazy new necklace
BAKE-OFF
On Monday at work, we had a Bake-Off for the Excess Baggage contest I am a team leader for. I COULDN’T WAIT to bake up a storm Sunday night and bring in some goodies!! Thanks to the blog world, I couldn’t decide what to make!! SO many yummy, nutritious recipes!!!! After lots of debating, I decided to make Tina’s Oatmeal Raisin Bars and Chandra’s Healthy(er) Chocolate Chip Cookies! Sorry guys, hopefully you don’t mind I stole them for the contest
Tina’s Bars

Chandra’s Cookies

And guess what……??? I WON!!!! They gave away a #1 prize for top nutritional recipe, #1 prize for taste, and #2 overall…..and, I WON! I was SO pumped….so thank you Tina and Chrandra!
WEATHER
OMG!!! NASTINESS!!! Does anyone want to guess what the weather was like in Wisconsin on Monday? Well I woke up and it was -10* and get this, -30* with wind chill!!!! YIKES! Why does Mother Nature hate me so much? Even yesterday we had a high of 1* and then got 4 MORE inches of snow after getting dumped on last week. Ugh, I still haven’t thawed out! Today was a whopping high of 8*! Pretty much a heat wave!!
EATS
It’s about time I talk about food again, since this IS a food blog and all!!
Here are my eats from today:
Breakfast - 2 toasted waffles topped with applesauce. I used to do this ALL the time but haven’t in like a year….not sure why. So filling and tasty!

Lunch – Another oldie but goody! A Smart Ones Lasagna….seriously, I LOOOVE these! I know they’re probably not the best option there is out there, but they are portion controlled, usually cheap because they’re on sale, pretty nutritious, and very tasty! YUM! This is another thing I used to have all the time when I originally lost all my weight on Weight Watchers. On the side is someone’s “guts” from their Erbert’s and Gerbert’s sandwich.

Supper – I was SO busy all day that I didn’t even have time for snacks! PHEW! That’s a first
Supper was a little mix of things included a chicken sausage from Trader Joe’s on a light bun, roasted asparagus, wild rice, a small piece of Chad’s french bread cheese pizza, and 1 leftover boneless chicken wing
My taste buds were H-A-P-P-Y!

Dessert – I also had an unpictured Smart Ones Peanut Butter Cup sundae! SO GOOD
WORKOUT
I’ve still been getting up almost every morning and going on the treadmill! I’m still loving the morning workouts! And now….for the big news!
I’ve decided to (*hopefully*) train for a 1/2 marathon!!!! The reason I say hopefully, is because I’m not sure my legs and knee will let me…..I have REALLY bad shin splints and have for 6 or 7 years. I also have a really bad knee. I’m trying to take it really slow this time so I don’t injure myself again like I did here. I was training for running a 5k and walking a marathon at the same time!
This year I’ll be doing the same (but running a half marathon and walking a full marathon 2 weeks later) but since I’m starting a good 6 months ahead of time, I’m going to take it really s.l.o.w. I am going to run in the same race that we did our 5k at!! I can’t wait!
HUSBAND
Here’s Chad on his way to work
