AH! I have a TON I want to say and had it all planned out but it is getting late and I don’t have time to do a big post….but I promise that I will get to it shortly. Tomorrow night I’ll probably be MIA because Chad’s cousin is coming into town so we’re going out to eat with her and her husband. I can’t wait, every time we get together with them we have a BLAST!!! So I’m sure it’ll be a late night (but hopefully not too late since it’ll only be a Tuesday!!). But trust me, it’s pretty big and you will want to stay tuned. (No, I’m NOT preggers, geez!). Yes it’s big, but not that big!!
But I do still have a little treat in store for you – I was finally able to photograph a whole days of food again! Wow has it been awhile…..and no, I probably won’t be doing this regularly just because it takes me SO much time and you know what? My busy schedule just doesn’t allow that every day…but I will do it when I can and try to keep posting lots of pics in the meantime. Unfortunately that takes the longest though so you’ll just have to bare with me. K?
First of all, I got up early this morning (which is OH SO HARD to do on a Monday) to do 20 minutes on the treadmill and a round of strength training in my “gym” downstairs in our basement.
To be honest with you, I’ve always been a HUGE cereal fan (I think because it takes me back to my childhood) but I firmly believed that MILK is what needs to go in your cereal…am I the only one? Don’t get me wrong, I like cereal toppings on a few things (oatmeal for the crunch, sometimes as a yogurt topping, again for crunch, etc) but this morning I decided to try a Meghann-ified breakfast!! I knew it was going to be good, but I never thought it would be GREAT!

My concoction was about 3/4 cup Trader Joe’s 0% Greek yogurt, topped with a banana, strawberries, blackberries, fiber one, Go Lean cereal, and PUMPKIN BUTTER!!!!!! This was SO good and SO filling! I guess Meghann is onto something
I have a lot of yogurt to use from from my TJ’s trip last week so this will probably be a staple for me this week.
At lunchtime I did 30 minutes on the treadmill reading Fitness magazine, followed by a huuuuuge salad:
-
romaine lettuce
-
broccoli slaw
-
colorful peppers
-
carrots
-
cucumber
-
egg whites
All topped with Sabra Garlic Hummus and Bob’s All Purpose Sauce! MMMMMMMM

I told you it was huge!!!
Snacks included a Bluberry Cliff Z Bar (which I picked up at TJ’s last week), some raw veggies (not pictured), and a whole lotta edamame.

When I got home I was still ravishing so I had some PB Puffins and TJ’s mini PB cups and some vanilla soy milk. This was probably my most favorite snack I’ve ever had and I’m not joking….talk about the perfect combo!!! This WILL become a regular occurrence, FYI.

And supper was TACOS! I absolutely love, love taco night in our house. I had 1 hard shell taco and 1 soft shell taco.

I also took Baylee for a 30 minute walk. It felt so great to get a ton of walking in today and not JUST running. I’m an avid walker at heart and this is the first year running has been my cardio of choice. Otherwise walking has always been my “go to” option.
Alright, I’m off to bed early to try to catch up on some sleep, as if that’s possible
I’m glad you’re back! I had to double and triple check my Reader to make sure you were still in it!
I like my cereal with cottage cheese. If you are a fan, you should give that a whirl sometime too
Interesting you say that about walking…more to come on that later
Oh wow, everything looks great – totally want that massive salad!
Yogurt is good with cereal, but there is something about the way milk gets flavoured with the cereal that makes me enjoy it so much more! And then, if you want to get really fancy, you can use chocolate milk instead
Great looking tacos too!
Big news?! I had suspense!! Can’t wait to hear what it is! LOVE the salad!
I’m echoing Sarah but cereal with CC is fantastic as well! Kashi Crunch + cinnamon + CC = Fabulous!
See I am completely opposite Milk to me ruins cereal!!
I am glad you liked my version of cereal!! Its serisouly the best way to eat it! Now do you know why I am so addicted to it?!?!
GMTA – I had tacos too!
Your salad looks great! Mmmm, garlic hummus.
Ready to get grossed out?
I used to use either water or OJ in my cereal because I used to hate milk.
Even I find that gross now!
That salad looks delicious!!!!
