Man, this week so far has been crazy busy! I was so swamped at work today I kept forgetting what day it was! Some parts of the day I thought it was only Monday, and once I even thought it was Thursday. What is up with me???? I’ve had a headache all day today too 😦 yucky!
I hate to sound negative, but does anyone hate winter more than me??? I would bet not! It was COOOOOLDtoday! Like, really really cold. When I get up to let Baylee out to go potty in the morning and you can just feel the hairs in your nose freeze, you know it’s cold. When you breathe and your frozen breath just sits there in front of you, you know it’s cold. And when you get an instant headache when you walk outside because you’re body just tensed up so much, you know it’s cold! On my drive in the radio said it was 9*!!!! EEKS!
BREAKFAST – 200 CALORIES
Thanks to Lindsay at For The Love of Oats, I tried a new oatmeal combo today. She suggested trying pomegranate seeds in oatmeal and gosh was it good!!!! I made the oatmeal using 1/2 cup oats with 3/4 cup water, nuking it, then adding 3/4 cup of homemade applesauce. I warmed it up, stirred it, and topped it with pom seeds!!!! SO good!
I also drank some Sugar Free Hot Apple Cider. I REALLY like this drink option because I love having something warm in the morning!!
SNACK – 205 CALORIES
Be still my heart!!!! Have any of you tried the Banana Nut Bread CLIF Bar??? If you have, why have you not told me about it????? SOOO YUMMY! It was like a thick homemade banana bread and sweet, just the way I like it! This was one of my finds at Woodman’s in Appleton so unfortunately I just can’t go pick up more 😦 BUT, we’re going to Appleton in December so Chad said I could make a Woodman’s stop! Isn’t he the best husby ever???
BTW, have any of you been to a Melting Pot restaurant??? I’ve never been to one but have always wanted to….I didn’t really know what they were all about until a few weeks ago when a coworker and I went on their website and my mouth was literally watering all over her desk! Ever since, I’ve been obsessed with going. Well, I found out that they have one in Appleton so the first week of December, we are planning on going with a group of friends! I CAN’T WAIT!!!!
I also had this honey crisp apple. Boring but tasty.
LUNCH – 230 CALORIES
I had planned on having this for breakfast, but when I couldn’t find anything to bring for lunch, I decided to input oatmeal for breakfast and have this for my lunch. I can’t complain though, I’m still in love with these guys!!!
Today’s mix was 3 egg whites, 2 pieces of canadian bacon, and 1 oz reduced fat cheddar. All nuked for 2 1/2 minutes in the microwave and set in a nice, toasty English Muffin.
SNACK – 140 CALORIES
You guessed it! MORE Chobani and MORE pom seeds! I can’t get enough! I’m almost out of pom seeds so I need to get some more ASAP!
SUPPER – 385 CALORIES
I was on my own for supper tonight because Chad had an event for work 😦 I came home and took Baylee for a 45 minute walk and was starving by the time I got back at 7:30. I quick turned on the Biggest Loser while I popped my supper in the oven.
I’ve had these guys in the freezer for months and keep forgetting about them:
I was kind of skeptical to make them but figured tonight would be the perfect night…..and BOY WAS I HAPPY I TRIED THEM!!!! SOOOOO good! I put them in the oven for about a 1/2 hour and then topped them with a little bit of cheese. I’m in love with these now! On the side I had 3/4 cup of steamed brown/wild rice, 3/4 cup of mixed veggies, and then some leftover SF Jello that I had made this weekend for the Packer gathering.

Yeah, I totally thought it was wednesday this morning… we’re awesome. That camera case is Such a cute color! I’ve never been to a melting pot but my mom has Always wanted to go- I’m thinking of taking her for her birthday so I cannot wait to see how you like it!! Calories do seem pretty dang low, especially with the 45 minute walk, but hey, some days you’re hungry and some you just aint. Plus, you got in a ton of food groups, so kudos. Those chicken burgers look interesting… I had to take a second look before I realized they’re Bacon Flavored! Haha- what’s wrong with the taste of chicken? And i haven’t seen sugar free spiced cider!! Definitely on my list of things to keep an eye out for 😉 Have a great humpday!

Oh my gosh it was 9 degrees there? Ugh! I hate winter too (hence why I’ve moved south!). Hang in there- its Wednesday- the week will be over soon 🙂
I dislike winter too!!!! I forgot how much I disliked the cold until it got REALLY cold all of a sudden here in NYC. Ugh. You’re definitely not alone. 🙂
P.S. I LOVEEEEE MELTING POT!!! Ahhhh, I’m jealous you’re going. It is quite pricey, but I’ve gone three times, and every single time I fall more in love. Lol.
I lovvveee the melting pot! Such an awesome restaurant with great atmosphere. Angela is right, it is a bit pricey so be prepared for that, but so totally worth it. We got for our anniversary. 😀
What’s your favorite type of apple? By the way. And how long do they stay in season- I’m already missing my berries; I don’t know what I’ll do if apples are out the door Too soon also! Haha.
