I don’t know what it is but I have just been beat the last 2 days! I’m blaming 92% of it on the horrible weather that Wisconsin is getting……crazy high wind, sleet, snow, rain, grossness. I hate how much of an effect weather can have on someone’s mood, especially because I live in an area where the weather sucks 84.5% of the time! Last night I ended up falling asleep on the couch (hence the lack of posting) and finally draaaaaged myself to bed at 11. Unfortunately I slept horrible and probably didn’t get more than 2-3 hours of sleep.
Even with my less than stellar snooze-fest last night, I woke up like a champ at 5:30 and did an Oh She Glows inspired workout. Since Chandra’s MBBC is *sadly* coming to a close today, I need something to keep me going. I’ve decided to enter the Oh She Glows Bikini Body Boot Camp that runs now through June!! Lord knows I need something to get me bikini ready! Since I needed to catch up from a few days (I just joined yesterday) I kind of threw everything together in this workout:
- Treadmill 5 minutes – 3.5mph – 10% incline
- Plank Hold (as long as I could)
- Modified Push Ups (as many as I could)
- Tricep Dips off chair (as many as I could)
- Squats (as many as I could)
- Lunges (just a few – I don’t want to further injure my knees)
- Abwork
Repeat circuit 3x
This was a great challenge and kept my heart pumping the whole time, that’s for sure! I forgot to wear my HRM so I’m not sure how many calories I burned, but it was about 45 minutes worth. It definitely kept me from getting bored, as I was constantly moving from one thing to the next. My chest and arms are already sore…..I’m thinking it’s from the push-ups as I’m not used to them, but I did Jillian’s 30-day Shred Level 2 yesterday so that also might be the culprit.
Thanks, Angela – it kicked my butt!!
I’ve went WAY too long without my crockpot oats/cottage cheese mix and could not wait to have them again today!! Oh, how I missed you my little piece of heaven.
- 1/3 cup oats cooked with 1/3 cup water and 1/3 cup milk in the crockpot overnight
- 1/3 cup FF Cottage Cheese
- Banana
- 1 huge strawberry, cut up
- 1/3 cup FF Vanilla yogurt
- 1/4 cup Fiber One
Delish-iosio! (Yes, we do make up words like that at my house…..take us or leave us)
Snack was a yummy Gala apple. Besides the obviously best apple in the world (Honeycrisp), I think Gala are my new fave!
Lunch was the same as yesterday, but you guys wouldn’t know that, would you now? It was so yummy that I had to have it again. It was a Flat Out Wrap filled with a Gardenburger Portabella Mushroom burger, romaine lettuce, brocolli slaw, and Light Ranch dressing. This guy was too fat to wrap up so I just kind of did what I could with it, along with a side of baby C’s. That’s short for carrots BTW. I’m trying to talk Erin-style now but I’m not that good at it yet 😉
At lunchtime I went in our horrific basement workout room at work and did 3 miles on the treaddy while reading Breaking Dawn. I’m finally getting through it and it is so good!
My afternoon snacks consisted of an orange and a string-cheese. YUM, I forgot how much I love string-cheese! I picked it up on a whim this past weekend and I’m so glad I did.
After hell work, I had to run Baylee to the vet to get a shot. She’s such a good girl at the vet – I’m always so proud 🙂 She loves it there because she gets LOTS of attention.
Supper was one of my faves, as you all know: VENISON BRATS!!!! Love these little, lean guys! I had it on a light WW bun, with a side of roasted zucchini and broccoli, and sweet potato fries.
Out of curiosity today, I decided to count up my WW POINTS and CALORIES just to compare. I’m still really, really trying to hit my goal weight by my Half Marathon in May and I’m just not getting there. Don’t get me wrong, I’m SO proud of myself and my physical accomplishments lately. I love watching my body change, and be challenged in ways I haven’t challenged it before. I still have things to accomplish though and my weight is definitely one of them. I’ve been there before, I can be there again!
WW Points: 19 points
Calories: 1,240
Interesting….my calories were a little low but my WW points were right on target. I might do this a couple days this week just to kind of see where I’m at….more out of curiosity than anything 🙂
Alright, I’m off to finish watching The Biggest Loser and then to bed!! I need a good night sleep so bad!
Don’t forget to enter the Country Bob’s Giveaway!!
Gala apples are my favourite…crispy & sweet…just perfect!
WHOA, I totally want a brat!
nice job on the workout and AWESOME looking bowl of oats 🙂
good luck training for your half-marathon!
Your dinner looks sooo fabulous! It’s seriously the best looking hot dog I’ve ever seen!!
Nice workout! I might need to join the challenge as well! I rand today for the first time in a week. I felt great but must keep up this motivation! Thanks for the inspiration!
Amazing workout! You sound so pumped for the challenge!
hey baby! Sorry about the poopy sleep 😦 I’ve been having too many nights like that recently too! Yayyy for BBBC! I am doing it too and am loving it so far! The ab exercises she references are SO awesome. I can feel my tummy changing already. Brat looks yummy. I have never had venison. I’m too scared to try it 😉
You and me both about living in WI. I was seriously debating why I’m still here yesterday morning while walking to my car in pouring rain.
Although, I don’t think you could get a yummy venison brat like that anywhere else!
Gala!! That’s the kind I eat every day 🙂 My wraps almost never close without something holding them together!
Hope you get some nice weather soon!!
From your previous posts your weight is moving down right?
Do you think you are using your WPA each week? If not maybe you need to eat more?
Great workout!
Great workout! Gala apples are my favorite too. 🙂
